The Silverline Steering damper for Vespa / Bajaj / LML

June 9th, 2008 Posted in Mounting/Installation

A steering damper can eliminate headshake or low speed side-to-side front fork wobble that sometimes occurs when a sidecar is installed on a scooter. A damper can also reduce “twitchiness” or over-rapid steering on the road and reduce “wind wander” on scooters without sidecars.

The damper show fits most Bajaj, LML and Vespa scooters. It requires drilling two small holes in the front leg shield to mount.

This is a friction type damper eliminating any possibility of leaking oil on your scooter paint.

The knob at the top adjusts the amount of drag or dampening without tools.

Note the very compact installation with no protruding rods

I have a 2005 cozy sidecar (rocket) I need new rubber bushings (suspension) Anyone know where to get them? I tried Scooterworks and they have been out for a long time. Also would like to know where to get the Silverline steering damper?
