June 5th, 2008 Posted in ContinentalI have no information other than this brochure. Apparently a company from India. Looks like they may have licensed the Steib after Globe and before Cozy? They have the same product line a Cozy: The Standard and The Rocket. If you have any information on this sidecar or companay, let me know!

I imported the Continental into Canada in the early 1990s, and yes, they were the successor to the Globe when the manufacture was taken over by Prabha Engineering in Bombay, India. They were of inferior quality and after importing a number I discontinued bringing them in. Seems like they sat around too long before they put primer on the metal, and this caused the paint to come off is very large sections after the salt air of the ocean crossing. All had to be completely repainted. All the ones I brought in were right-hand mount models similar to the LS200, but had an isolastic rubber band suspension, teakwood rear rack, and came with floor mats. The last one I had, a dover white model, ended up in Japan and is now mounted on a matching R69s owned by the president of the Vintage BMW Owners of Japan. Hope this helps a bit.
